Finding Forever Homes for Dogs and Cats
Every animal deserves a second chance
At Lucky U Rescue, our mission is to make a difference in Queen City, TX and surrounding areas by serving as a safe haven for all strays. We will accomplish this mission by rescuing them off the streets and out of rural dumping areas. Once rescued, they will be vetted and relocated to spay/neuter-mandated areas. We will also place a significant amount of focus on facilitating change in the current culture of pet ownership in our community. This will be done by involving the community as a whole in our events, fundraisers, educational training, and volunteer opportunities.

Join us in creating new beginnings for animals waiting for their forever families.

Adoption FAQs
How do I start the adoption process?
Begin by browsing our available pets online or visiting us in person. Submit an adoption application to help us understand your home and lifestyle, ensuring the best match for you and the animal.
What are the adoption requirements?
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, provide valid ID, and have a stable living environment, a fenced in yard, and other pets must be fully vetted. We also conduct reference checks and may request a home visit to confirm suitability.
Are there fees involved in adoption?
Yes, adoption fees cover vaccinations, spaying/neutering (if the pet is old enough), microchipping, and veterinary care. These fees help us continue rescuing and caring for more animals.
Can I return a pet if it doesn’t work out?
We understand that sometimes situations change. If you cannot keep your adopted pet, please contact us immediately. We accept returns to ensure the animal’s safety and well-being.
